Very gorgeous set of vintage Venetian blue Sommerso beads with barrel clasp closure. Sommerso glass beads are named after the technique used to make them where different colours are submerged under clear glass. This set has a beautiful blue colour with flecks of goldstone. Sommerso beads are known for their use of goldstone (also called Aventurina or Aventurine). The necklace measures approximately 15 inches (38 cm) and is a choker style. The beads are approximately 1.2 cm in diameter. Weight is 58.2 grams. It is in very good vintage condition with only small signs of wear commensurate wih age.
